Summer
In the summer the sun and comfortable temperatures will encourage you to explore the alpine nature in all its breathtaking beauty and plentiful colors. Several possible excursions, of various difficulty, will allow you to get in touch with the Dolomites, UNESCO world heritage. Many activities expect you, filling your summer holidays in San Candido with splendor adventure and unforgettable memories.
Simple strolls through nature, real peak-walking and alpinism, bicycle rides, horse rides and tandem paragliding will allow you to see the mountains from a different point of view. Also, one mustn’t forget the incredible offers on sports and entertainment which our town and its surroundings offer every year.
Winter
In the winter the mountains show themselves in all their icy majestic splendor, with surreal panoramas that can be enjoyed walking or cross-country skiing. Not to forget the alpine skiing, which you can practice during your winter holidays on the family friendly slopes of “Baranci” or on the more demanding slopes of “Monte Elmo - Helm”.
Baranci is a few minutes walking distance while “Monte Elmo - Helm” is a few minutes by car, bus or even a short train journey. San Candido - Innichen also offers all type of entertainment over the wintertime from the Christmas markets to the well-organized Ski-schools.
